I am currently busy preparing for the biggest single event in the development of the Tyne Catchment Plan.
Tyne Rivers Trust will be hosting a drop-in session at the Hancock Museum in early October and inviting organisations and community groups active in the Tyne catchment to come along and contribute to the goals for the plan. We will also be asking people to identify projects which will contribute to achieving those goals.
We hope that this event will provide us with the information we need to develop a comprehensive and realistic Catchment Plan with buy-in from a wide range of groups, individuals and organisations. This in turn should put the organisations and groups working in the Tyne Catchment in the best position to bid for funding for projects and develop grassroots community projects, all to benefit the health of our rivers.
