This project is being led by Groundwork NE and Cumbria in partnership with the Environment Agency. The Tyne Estuary is an iconic area and the location of cultural events such as Great Exhibition of the North; there have been improvements to biodiversity and the economy but there are still significant pressures to be addressed. Groundwork has set up a partnership to champion these improvements and identify opportunities for sustainable environmental and economic improvements.
