Revitalising Redesdale

The Rede is a major tributary of the North Tyne and rises in the wild, upland bogs of the western Cheviots on the English-Scottish border. Revitalising Redesdale is a £2.8m Landscape Partnership scheme funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, working with the local community to improve the valley’s cultural, landscape and wildlife heritage.

There are 12 delivery themes with projects being delivered by partners, including a river restoration project, reconnecting habitats,  recording wildlife, protecting historic sites and investigating The Battle of Otterburn. Find out more or get involved by visiting the Revitalising Redesdale website.
